Hi,
I'm having troubles with SRT subtitles in french. All accented characters are displayed wrong. The file is UTF8, I tried with other charset but with no luck...
Am I doing something wrong ?
Find attached, a screen cap with the sample phrase "Moi j'écrirai ton nom" and the SRT file.
Thanks for the help

Re: Subtitles with accented characters
Hi,
Did you try muxing the disc? Preview text field may work wrong (I'll check it).

If you change the font in the 'Font' combobox - the problem is still here?

Re: Subtitles with accented characters
Yes I tried with a lot of fonts and the problem stills here. Arial is an extended font and should work with accented chars, no problem with other softwares.
I found that the auto-corrected srt file in the folder of the name of the srt file contains corrupted chars instead of the accented ones.

Re: Subtitles with accented characters
Frankly, the error I have found, was not related to your problem.
But I remember that similar problem was when SRT did not have BOM
Check please the BOM or try to convert subtitles to Unicode.
