"Comfortable as Possible" is an understatement, I have used DoStudio Indie for authoring retail Blu-rays for 8 years now and have just started to explore KITe Java 2.8 suite, WOW..... that was an easy transition, I had a simple Blu-ray disc within 1/2 day with more menu animation than I have ever done before as the drop down programming tabs make it so easy. I've only scratched the surface in the past couple of days but I'm really impressed so far.

I imported an Indie studio project into KITe Java and exported out to a disc and the only thing which didn't transfer was how the menus behaved.
The KITe Java handles menus like a HDMV project would and not how DoStudio BD-J handles menus.
Did I miss a setup preference in KITe Java?

DoStudio and KITe Java have very different logic.
When importing DoStudio projects you need to specify what to import where. In most cases, you will need to adjust/change something after the import.
Can you send me your project without video/audio? Possibly, I can improve the import process or give you recommendations how to customize it.

With these settings

it looks fine for me.
Is it ok?

PS: you need to specify the First Play after the import.

Those setting did the trick, all works fine with the import and export.
Thank you

When importing a DoStudio project from DoStudio Indie Version (which didn't support the 'Top Menu' button on the remote control) is it possible to add the top menu function to the imported project in KITe?

Hello David,

If you are talking about KITe Java, yes, you can add it later in KITe Java by assigning an action to the Top Menu property.
If this is about KITe UHD (HDMV), the only thing you can do, I suppose, is copying commands from the First Play movie object into the Top Menu movie object.
