Error message: Undefined value for field.

Post by mcdozenlegs »

Hi - I'm using BDS to author a Blu-ray disc but I keep getting an error message at the output stage about my menu video. The odd thing is I've successfully output this project with another menu video which has all the same attributes... the error message is:

21:07:30 - [ERROR] C:\Users\mcdoz\Desktop\IQ30 BluRay Outputs\IQ30 Menu 4.m2v: Undefined value for field. [Field name: video_format, Values: sequence_header.vertical_size_value = 1080, sequence_header.horizontal_size_value = 1440, sequence_extension.progressive_sequence = 0, GOP number: 1]

How can I correct this?

Mike

Hi Mike,
What are you using for encoding? What frame rate did you specify?

Thanks for getting back to me - I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro to generate the menu video, Media encoder to output the film, and the frame rate is 25fps.

Can you upload this video? You can use https://dvd-logic.com/archive/hd_splitter to cut a small part of the file.

Hi Mike,
Thank you for your file. We'll remove this error in the next release. For now, you can disable this error in the Project properties -> Streams -> Ignore parsing errors for internal muxer (at the bottom).

Aah, OK thanks. Just tried disabling that and it worked fine (still got the error message but it carried on past it). Any idea why my film generated that error in the first place? Is it anything I'm doing wrong in the encoding?

1440p is blocked for M2V in the muxer, but we will enable it.
