Steep learning curve with 264 encoding with so many options, why does the code on http://www.x264bluray.com/home give me verible frame rate surly constant frame rate is more stable.

This may be a stupid question but how do i use the cmd file.

Ok so encoded the video to 29.97i with the following. x264 --bitrate XXXXX --preset veryslow --tune film --bluray-compat --vbv-maxrate 40000 --vbv-bufsize 30000 --level 4.1 --keyint 30 --open-gop --slices 4 --tff --colorprim "bt709" --transfer "bt709" --colormatrix "bt709" --sar 1:1 --pass 1 -o out....

I see so I only have the option of the below.

1920×1080 29.97i 16:9
1920×1080 25i 16:9
1920×1080 24p 16:9
1920×1080 23.976p 16:9

Does this apply to videos in the menus too.

The confusing thing is that http://www.x264bluray.com/home/1080i-p says progressive and fake-interlaced is supported.

Can you make a intro menu and for it to automatically jump to the next menu.
Example

Intro menu with Video
Main menu with text links to play movie/chapters etc (would be a continuation of the intro menu like intro menu is chapter 1 and Main menu is chapter 2)
